My son is 6 and he has always been terrified and absolutely hated hair cuts, we’ve tried multiple different places and she was AMAZING, let him feel the tools she had to use, talked him through everything, was so gentle and reassuring to him that he sat in the chair and wanted me to sit down in the lobby for my reaction, he’s never wanted me to leave his side during hair cuts…. This will be our forever place now Can’t recommend enough!!

Gil is absolutely AMAZING!! He’s been cutting my 8 year old sons hair for like 6+ months now (this kid’s hair grows like weeds, so that’s every 5 weeks or so). He totally takes his time and talks with my son and does an amazing job! He now cuts my husbands hair too! I can’t imagine going to anyone else for my boys now! We are so excited he’s opened his own shop and highly recommend making an appointment with them!
We love coming to the Historic Barbershop! Gil and his staff are always so friendly and good at what they do. My toddler gets his haircut there and they are all so great with making my son feel comfortable. My husband has also got his beard cleaned up and got all pampered here - he loves it. My son always asks about seeing Gil for a haircut. I can’t recommend this place enough.

I used to go to Sheri at another place on Tower Ave but then she came here to Historic Barbershop and I'm so glad because this place is amazing and she's the only person I have do my hair in town! Great place, always worth going to for haircuts of any kind. I cannot recommend this place or Sheri enough!
